Norwegian Centre for Stem Cell Research

The Norwegian Centre for Stem Cell Research (NCS) was founded in 2003 after receiving a strategic research grant from The Research Council of Norway. The objective is to be a scientific network that carries out basic and applied research on stem cells. A particular focus is on the use of stem cells for regenerative medicine. In addition, implications of stem cell biology on cancer development are studied.
